Position Title: Post Doc Research AssociateClassification Type: Post DoctoralPrimary Purpose of Position Conduct research on high performance context neutral reconfigurable computing. Assist with administrative tasks concerning the research project. Provide guidance and leadership to graduate and undergraduate students that will be working with the grant. Assist with the preparation and submission of conference papers, journal papers, and textbook chapters. The candidate must be proficient in the following topics: - VHDL Programming - Java, C, C++ Programming - FPGA Design Boards and Tools - Reconfigurable Computing Primary Function of Organizational Unit The Department of Computer Systems Technology (CST) prepares students to pursue technical, as well as technical management careers in all employment sectors. The program emphasizes acquisition of sound theoretical studies, as well as intensive hands-on experiences in the area of electronics technology. The CST department emphasizes development of real world competencies demanded by employers. Students receive thorough grounding in electronics; digital and microprocessor systems; computer technologies, including hardware, software and computer networking; communication systems; power distribution; and automation and control systems. Additional emphasis is placed on courses in business management, statistical process control, humanities, computer programming, safety and project management, and manufacturing processes to provide students the background they need in the economic and managerial aspects of the business enterprise. jobs.ncat.edu/postings/4956
