“Oh, There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” are two classics that give us a loving and cozy feeling no matter the time of year. Both songs combine the spirit of the season with our love for that most special place in our lives … our home. This year we are asking our alumni and friends to help us create a new home for all Aggies who live or visit Washington DC. In 1965, the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Alumni Association, Incorporated, Washington, DC Chapter (NCA&TSUAA-WDC) purchased the only beautiful and detached home on 15th Street, Northwest, Washington, DC in hopes of providing Alumni with a special place to soundly execute the chapter’s vision. The Aggie House has been a monument in the lives of the Alumni for many years. It is a place where we love to meet alumni, greet students and celebrate auspicious occasions. Today, the Aggie House is still our main place of fellowship; however, given the normal wear and tear, our Aggie Home is in dire need of repairs and we need your support to help renovate the place we call, “Aggie Home”. Our goal for the Aggie House is to make it functionally safe so it will be a revenue-generating entity, which will allow us to award multiple scholarships to Washington Metropolitan area students.
