The DC Chapter T-Shirt Design Contest
We are in the voting stage now. There are four very unique designs to choose from. Visit www.news.wdc-ncatalumni.org and click on the link for “T-Shirt Contest.” Voting ends on September 1. The winner will be announced at the September chapter meeting.

50th Anniversary of the March on Washington (Saturday August 24).
The DC Chapter as part of the DC HBCU Alliance will be participating in the march. We will meet at 8:30 AM as part of the DC Rally March will be with Mayor Vincent Gray and other DC City Council Officials to join the main March on Washington at 10:00 AM at the Lincoln Memorial with the National Action Network.
If you are available to participate in the March please wear your Aggie paraphernalia and look for the NC A&T Banner, so we can march as a group. Kristen Rutledge is the contact person for this event, she can be e-mailed at pastpresident@wdc-ncatalumni.org
DCPS Beautification Day (Saturday August 24 @ 9am to 1pm) - (Official Community Service Project)
We are the lead group for Bancroft Elementary School in Columbia Heights (1755 Newton St NW, Washington, DC 20010). It’s a short walk from the Columbia Heights Metro Station (Green & Yellow lines). The chapter's direct service to the community may include light landscaping, painting, setting up teachers rooms, cleaning, etc.
Find some Aggie gear you don’t mind getting dirty, call a friend and come out and join us. Tiffany Balmer is the contact person for this event, she can be reached at social-rec@wdc-ncatalumni.org
