Hello,
My name is John Michael Quarantello and I am a project manager working for Microsoft in DC. I am currently in a situation where I literally have 7 bosses working on 8 separate projects and it's totally taking over my life. At Microsoft, good work is rewarded with more work, so they're not letting me ease up and drop any of my projects. I am attempting to gain a work life balance, and Microsoft is not playing fair.
I am interested in Program & Project Management positions located in either Southern Maryland or DC. Northern VA is an option too, but it turns into a very long commute for me. Please let me know if you know of anyone who is in need of a very good project manager and I can send my resume to you.
Below is a snippet of my resume which details some of the work I am performing now.
Microsoft – Senior Project Manager April 2012 – Present
Manage day to day operations and customer interactions on 8 concurrent projects involving the development of Custom Applications, Infrastructure Development & Modernization, and Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
Supervise over 100 Microsoft consultants and subcontractors of varying technical skill levels on projects totaling over $30M in revenue.
Responsibilities include:
Create and track project plans
Brief project information to customers and management
Manage customer expectations throughout project lifecycle
Microsoft & customer issue/crisis management resolution
Manage Microsoft human resources
Create and update weekly project financials reports
Compile weekly & monthly status reports
Create & maintain action item lists, risks, and issue logs
Thanks for your time, and I look forward to talking to you!
